[That's certainly new. But moving on-]

I'm not sure if luck has anything to do with it... - In any case, getting caught up in this fog wasn't anything that I planned for, and so I'll start looking for shelter for the night.

I'm frustrated that I wasn't able to keep my word to a friend, but... if what you're saying is true, then I'd better prepare for it.
