What your character can offer:
A middle school student who aspires to be a prince in both appearance and spirit, following the words of the noble and gentle figure she had met as a child so long ago. She is forthright, honest, and friendly, earning her the admiration of many of the boys and girls attending Ohtori Academy. She possesses a real talent for sports, making her a tough competitor even while alone. However, her true strength lies in her determination to protect others. Even if it means to fight countless battles and raise a sword against those whom she respects and admires; Utena will always do her best to see things through to the end. Even if time or tragedies may be her untimely enemy, her passion always seems to lead her through.
What items will they be bringing with them? Her school uniform and her ring with the rose signet that she always wears.

It was a beautiful day. Leaning back on the blanket spread out over the grass, Utena felt like she could almost rest her eyes for a bit and escape from it all. They fell closed. Just for a few minutes…

“U~ten~a!” A voice spoke out from nearby, almost chiding her.

“Eh?” She peeked with one eye open, watching Wakaba as she walked through the grass with a pink patterned handkerchief hiding a bundle dangling from her right hand. Her friend gave her a stern look, before smiling brightly and taking a seat beside her. “I absolutely won’t let you sleep before you’ve tried my delicious handmade lunch.” She stated proudly, wagging her index finger at Utena while she sat up and gave a stretch of her arms. “I made it with love, you know?” Wakaba couldn’t keep herself from beaming with pride, letting out a happy giggle.

In the same way, Utena couldn’t really hide the sheepish look from her face, letting out a quiet sigh. She didn’t think she’d be caught like that. Scratching a hand through her hair, she gave an apologetic smile. “Sorry… It’s so nice out that I couldn’t really help myself, you know? Though… you didn’t have to go to the trouble…”

Excuse me, but I’ve seen how you’ve been eating those bland convenience store sandwiches for your lunch lately!” Wakaba stated, turning up the volume and leaning in dangerously close. Utena was leaning back as she sat, looking slightly guilty. She laughed nervously. “They’re not really that bland.”

“Hmph! Well, you won’t have an appetite for one of those after you see …this!” Wakaba declared proudly, untying the handkerchief around a small box and lifting off the top with a dramatic flair. “Ta-dah!” Utena honestly was a little impressed, though… she could have done without the heart shape in the rice portion. That was just embarrassing. “Looks good.”

“Doesn’t it, doesn’t it?” Wakaba looked proud of her handiwork, and for Utena to see her friend acting like herself… It put her at ease. After so much that has been going on outside of school, it comforted Utena just to see her close friend looking like her old self; A slice of normalcy away from the world of dueling to become the Engaged to the Rose Bride. For the revolution of the world.

“Utena-sama…” A voice piped in from nearby, as Anthy stepped up to their spot with Chu Chu sitting comfortably on her shoulder. “Ah, just in time.” Utena said, looking up at her, while Wakaba made a face. In her mind, three was a crowd, but she didn’t mind as long as Utena didn’t. The dark-skinned girl smiled politely, while Chu Chu gave an excited “Chu!” at the boxed lunched upon seeing it, promptly going down on it like a dive bomb while Wakaba tried to keep the little monkey at bay. Utena just laughed, and she could have sworn that Anthy had been doing the same out of the corner of her eye.

Yes. This had to be something worth fighting for. She wasn’t about to give that up to anyone.

First-Person Sample: Ten sentence minimum. First person is what we'll be seeing in the character's personal journal. Samples do not have to be set in Discedo!

It’s a little mysterious. The names of all the stars and constellations that I used to know, the ones I learned from the chairman… It feels like they are no good here.

Heh. It’s not even because the stars don’t look the same way I remember them. It’s because there are two moons here! [She laughs.] I guess that sounds kind of strange, doesn’t it?

Still, it’s like proof. That I really am far away from everything I used to know.

Ah, some of it isn’t so bad though. I don’t have to study for exams anymore, or have to worry about that lady coming down on me for wearing my uniform. It’s not that I’m trying to start trouble or anything; it was never against the rules for me to wear a boys’ uniform in the first place. I wish she’d try to realize that for once.

But… how to explain… it’s just something important to me.

[Proudly] Instead of a princess to be protected, I want to be a dashing prince.
